Relationship Counselling

I am a qualified BACP Accredited UKCP Registered and very experienced Relate trained Relationship/Couple Counsellor.
I work with both couples and individuals in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

My work with you is in a truly collaborative way whereby I see us working through your issues in the relationship counselling process in order to enable you to understand and make sense of them. I see you as the experts on your relationship and myself as sitting alongside you in the counselling room with some expertise to share.

A great deal of my work centres around the issue of loss for example loss of a relationship, an affair or a job. Often couples are concerned about difference in their relationship but I feel that difference is good and should therefore be celebrated. The difficulty is usually around how it is managed and accommodated but once acknowledged, this I think, allows for the possibility for change.

I always take time to acknowledge your bravery in taking the initial decision to come for counselling as it is by no means the easy option and can be a very painful process, I might add that things may get worse before they get better but normalise that.

It is also important to say that I can't wave a magic wand and pretend that you will leave me singing and dancing into the sunset, however, the time spent in sessions will enable you to look at yourself and your relationships in a different and healthier way. I want to enable you to have new tools and strategies for managing your lives and to be able to make informed decisions regarding your future.

Finally I am passionate about my work as a counsellor and feel privileged to be a part of the journey you are making in your life.
